This hand-beaded brooch features an adorable little hippo with a flower crown and a very clear message: Don't Be A Hippo-Twatamus. Surrounded by tiny pink hearts, because even life advice deserves to be cute. The beadwork framing is layered and lush — black seed beads and silver-lined seed beads hug the graphic, followed by rows of pink and deep plum faceted crystals, all finished with a bold outer edge of gunmetal hexagonal hematite beads. The back is finished with pink leather and a sturdy silver-tone locking bar pin. Measures approximately 2.5 x 2.75 inches. Handmade by an Indigenous artist — each piece is unique and will never be replicated. I sat with this one and laughed the whole time I beaded it. It's one of one.
