Shell Drop Earrings — River Under Glass
$50.00
About this piece
These are the earrings that make people lean in and whisper "where did you get those?" Two large abalone shell drops hang like little pieces of creek water frozen mid-shimmer — smoky grey swirled with flashes of blue-green, silver, and violet that shift every time you move your head. Each earring features white seed beads stacked above a small round abalone coin accent, all strung on silver-tone fish hook findings. And because these shells are natural, the two drops are beautifully mismatched — same spirit, different shape. That's not a flaw, that's the whole point. Approximately 2.5 inches total drop length. Lightweight enough to wear all day. Sold as a pair. Handmade by an Indigenous artist — Pit River Tribe, Northern California — and each piece is unique. I will never make these again. I sat with these shells for a while before I figured out what they wanted to be. Now they're ready. Are you?

Care: Keep away from water and perfume. Seed beads are durable but the thread that holds them is not invincible — treat gently.
