Beaded Ring — Night Scattered

Four colors on a dark field. You know what they are and you know what they mean. This peyote-stitched ring is built from matte black Delica seed beads with single-bead accents scattered across the band in red, yellow, and white — the four sacred directions showing up quiet, the way they do when you're paying attention. The pattern isn't symmetrical. It isn't supposed to be. It's placed the way stars land on a cold night in Northern California — deliberate to whoever put them there, mysterious to the rest of us. Size 7, approximately 8mm wide. Comfortable, lightweight, and surprisingly tough. Delica seed beads in matte black, opaque red, bright yellow, and silver-white. Flexible beadwork band. Handmade by an Indigenous artist — each piece is unique. I will never make this exact ring again. I sat with this one bead by bead, and now it's ready to sit with you.
