This is what happens when I stare at creek water in January — dark, iridescent, and then that sudden flash of sky where the ice breaks open. This loom-woven beaded ring features iridescent dark blue-green seed beads with a gorgeous oil-slick shimmer, anchored by a center checkerboard diamond in sky blue and crisp white. The contrast hits different in person. Seven rows of precise, tight beadwork. Approximately size 9 — check that ring mandrel in the photo, I'm not guessing. Seed beads throughout, comfortable flat profile, lightweight enough that you'll forget it's there until someone asks you where you got it. And then you get to say an Indigenous artist from Northern California made it by hand, because she did. That's me. I sat with this little one for a while. It will never exist again — not this color, not this pattern, not this exact arrangement of beads. One piece. Yours if you want it.
