Beaded Earrings — Abalone & Golden Meadow

These are the color of late-spring grass in Northern California — that bright chartreuse-yellow moment right before the hills start going gold. Each earring features a raised felt dome crowned with a genuine abalone shell chip that flashes dark blue and green depending on how the light catches you. Concentric rows of gold and silver-lined seed beads spiral outward from the center, finishing with a halo of clear faceted crystal beads that give the whole piece a quiet sparkle. Approximately 2 inches in diameter with gold-tone fish hook findings. Fabric-backed for comfort. Sold as a pair. Handmade by an Indigenous artist — each piece is unique. I built these up bead by bead, row by row, and that abalone sat in my stash for a while before I figured out where it belonged. Turns out it belonged here. Now they belong to whoever grabs them first, because I'm not making these again.
