Dangle Earrings — Abalone Midnight

These have weight to them — the good kind, the kind that makes you reach up and touch your ear because you know something beautiful is hanging there. Each earring drops from a gunmetal fish hook finding into a pair of cranberry-rose metallic seed beads, then an elongated black-and-cream bone tube bead with gorgeous natural marbling. At the bottom, a mosaic abalone shell sphere catches every bit of light in the room — iridescent greens, greys, pinks, and silvers shifting as you move. Another pair of those cranberry seed beads finishes the base. They hang approximately 3 inches from the hook. Gunmetal findings throughout. Sold as a pair. Handmade by an Indigenous artist — Pit River Tribe, born under Mt. Shasta, beading since age 8. These will never be made again. I sat with these for a while, turning those abalone spheres in my hands like little worlds. They're ready to go. Are you?
