Beaded Earrings — Abalone Heart Chandelier

These have dimension — literally. Each earring is built up into a soft dome shape covered in warm mocha felt, crowned with an iridescent abalone shell heart at the peak. Around that heart, concentric circles of bronze metallic seed beads and faceted bronze bicone crystals catch light from every angle. Then the fringe. Five graduated strands of aurora borealis rhinestone chain cascade from the base, throwing tiny rainbows when you move. The backing is smooth leather, the edge stitching is tight, and the fish hook ear wires are gunmetal. Each medallion measures approximately 1.5 inches across, with the rhinestone fringe bringing total length to about 3.5 inches. Sold as a pair. Handmade by an Indigenous artist — each piece is unique and will never be replicated. I held these up to the window about forty times while I was making them. The abalone kept shifting colors on me.
