These hoops have teeth and they're not afraid to use them. Gold-tone latch-back hoops wrapped in hand-stitched sunburst points — each triangle built bead by bead in deep plum-purple and pale periwinkle-blue Delica seed beads. The contrast is sharp. Dark and light, soft and bold, like the sky over Shasta right before a storm rolls in and you realize you should've brought a jacket. The brick stitch beadwork radiates outward in geometric starburst points all the way around the hoop, giving these serious presence without weighing you down. Approximately 1.5 inches in diameter with the points extending about a quarter inch beyond the hoop. Gold-tone latch-back findings for a secure, comfortable fit. Sold as a pair. Handmade by an Indigenous artist — each piece is unique. I will never make this exact pair again. I sat with these ones for a while. Now they're ready to go be somebody's favorite earrings.
