Earrings — Blue Feather Ice

These are the kind of blue that happens right before the sky decides to get serious about winter. Large oval bead-embroidered earrings built around an iridescent crystal feather cabochon with a smooth round blue stone set at the top. I surrounded each feather with rows of light blue, silver-lined, and deep navy seed beads — every row stitched by hand, obviously, because I don't own a beading robot. The outer edge is crowned with dark metallic faceted bicone crystals, while opalescent blue glass pillow beads and rectangle beads anchor the bottom. Backed in soft sky-blue leather with silver kidney-wire hooks. And yes, there's a tiny white butterfly charm hiding on the back — a little secret between you and whoever's standing behind you. Approximately 3 inches long. Sold as a pair. Handmade by an Indigenous artist — each piece is unique and will never be made again. I held these for a long time.
