About this piece

That shade of purple right before the sky goes full dark — that's this earring. A deep violet lotus silhouette sits up top, open and airy, letting light pass right through those petal cutouts. Below it, connected by gold jump rings, hangs a slim rectangular frame built from long purple porcupine quills with smoky grey crystal cubes anchoring each corner. The whole piece moves when you move. It catches light from angles you weren't expecting. These hang approximately 4 inches from gold-tone fish hook ear wires. Lightweight despite the drama. Materials include laser-cut acrylic lotus component, cobalt blue glass bugle beads, smoky grey crystal cube beads, and gold-tone findings. Sold as a pair. Handmade by an Indigenous artist — Pit River Tribe, born and raised in the shadow of Mt. Shasta. Each piece is unique and will never be replicated. I held these, turned them in the lamp light about forty times. They're ready. You might be too.

Care: Keep away from water and perfume. Seed beads are durable but the thread that holds them is not invincible — treat gently.
