That iridescence you're seeing? That's real. These abalone shell hoops catch light like the surface of a river at dusk — flashes of green, purple, silver, and blue shifting every time you move your head. Each hoop features carved geometric patterns with stepped edges and fine line detailing around the open center, giving them a look that's ancient and modern at the same time. The hoops hang from a short column of iridescent gunmetal seed beads on silver-tone fish hook ear wires. Total drop is approximately 3.5 inches, with the shell hoops measuring about 1.75 inches across. Sold as a pair. Handmade by an Indigenous artist — each piece is unique. I don't replicate pieces, not even in color. These two matched up beautifully together, and I sat with them for a while before I let them go. They're ready now.
