Earrings
Earrings — Late August Riverbed
$42.00
About this piece
These remind me of walking along the creek bed in late August when the water's low and the afternoon light turns everything gold against pale stone. Multiple strands of translucent amber seed beads cascade from an ornate antiqued brass cone cap, and scattered through each strand are smooth white shell chip beads — irregular, organic, like little river-tumbled pieces of bone or stone. Every strand falls a little differently, so they move when you move. That's the whole point. Approximately 3 inches total length including the black fish hook ear wires. Antiqued brass coil accents and cone findings. Sold as a pair. Handmade by an Indigenous artist — Pit River Tribe, born and raised in the shadow of Mt. Shasta. Each piece is completely unique. I don't replicate anything, not even the color palette. These existed once in my hands, and now they're waiting for yours. Don't sleep on them.

Care: Keep away from water and perfume. Seed beads are durable but the thread that holds them is not invincible — treat gently.
