Feather Earrings — Silver Wind

There's a way feathers move in Northern California wind — they don't fall, they drift sideways like they're choosing where to land. These reminded me of that. Each earring features a beautifully detailed antiqued silver-tone feather charm with fine etched vein lines running the full length of the plume and a small open cutout near the quill that catches light when you move. The feathers hang from wire-wrapped bails on black fish hook ear wires, giving them that perfect drift and sway. The feather charms measure approximately 2 inches long. Total drop from ear wire to tip is roughly 2.75 inches. Lightweight enough to wear all day. Sold as a pair. Handmade by an Indigenous artist — each piece is unique. I assembled these by hand, chose the findings, made sure they matched just right. They're simple and they're beautiful and they're the only pair like this I'll ever make. Now they're looking for their person.
